RULES AND REGULATIONS
- The value of your team must not exceed
the posted
budget. I have tried to ensure that members cannot select a team that
exceeds the budget, but the scripting used to verify team totals may not be compatible
with your browser. You are responsible for keeping your team under the
allowable budget. If your team exceeds the allowable budget, it will
be deleted.
- Team changes must be received before NOON
local time for Motocross events.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Click on JOIN
NOW and sign up your team name. The U.S. Supercross and
Motocross series' require a Motonews membership but the Canadian series is
totally FREE.
- Click on LOGIN to validate
your session. You will not have to sign in again if your browser
accepts cookies. You are automatically logged in if you are joining
for the first time.
- Click on SELECT RIDERS to choose your team for an upcoming event.
- You must select a team for each
event in the series. If you do not select riders for an event your
team will be run with no riders.
- To ensure that you do not forget to
select a team for an upcoming round you may select riders weeks in advance
of the event. For example, you can select a team for round one, return
to the updates page and then select a team for round two (if you use the
Back button to return to the updates page it will speed up the process).
- Race results and team results will be posted
shortly after each event.
STRATEGIES
- To maximize your chances for points, you may
select up to eight riders for your team. Winning teams usually try to
select a few less expensive riders that they feel will make it into the top
twenty and score points.
- Rider prices will be adjusted every few
rounds. Strong riders will have their prices raised and will be more
difficult to hire under your budget constraints. Struggling riders
will have their prices reduced and may be more attractive to team managers
due to their bargain prices.
POINTS AWARDED
- Points are awarded based on the CMRC's point system. Points are awarded for first through twentieth
place. If your rider wins a main event (125 or 250), you will receive
25 points. See the table below for a full listing of points awarded.
- Points are now awarded to a rider no
matter what class he competes in. Therefore, if a rider switches
between the MX1 and MX2 class or rides two different classes, teams will
receive as many points as the rider scores for the day. MX1=250 class,
MX2=125 class.
